CHALLENGE / OPPORTUNITY

Bloomberg and Vanity Fair wanted to use their platforms to highlight the human impacts of climate change. Shiraz was asked to produce an engaging experience to generate excitement, inspire meaningful discussions, and drive mass awareness of these pressing environmental issues.

STRATEGY / EXECUTION

With our partners Bloomberg and Vanity Fair, we put on the first-ever joint Climate Exchange Conference at the Bloomberg LP European Headquarters in London, the most sustainable office building in the world. All design elements were thoughtfully created to align with the Exchange’s objectives: to share ideas, inspire action, and foster broader awareness of climate change occurring throughout the world.

During the conference, experts from every industry, including celebrities and influencers, gathered for lectures by well-known activists and panelists. On the first night, we hosted a glittering gala dinner followed by a stunning performance by Ellie Goulding. “Ice Watch” glacial sculpture installations by Studio Olafur Eliasson melted as the 3-day conference went on, acting as a visual metaphor for what is currently happening in our polar ice caps. Attendees posed in front of a 3D Step & Repeat in the shape of the Climate Exchange logo, which was widely shared on social channels.

RESULTS / REACTION

The event was a success and created immense goodwill among all attendees, feeling they left the conference far better informed and equipped to tackle the problems facing our world today. It generated the desired press and social buzz, helping to bring the conversation into the mainstream.
